When projects are live and pressure is high, training won’t fix the problem.
You don’t need another framework.
You don’t need another workshop.
You need experienced leadership in the work.
Ascent is Coron Projects’ consultancy and contracting service for organisations delivering complex engineering, construction and EPC projects. We step into live environments to stabilise delivery, restore momentum and help leaders make confident decisions when it matters most.
This is hands-on support for moments when projects cannot afford to stall.
Our carefully selected team possesses the skill set, practical knowledge, and support to provide comprehensive and structured assistance across all facets of project management.
Ascent is designed for situations where:
This isn’t about fixing people.
It’s about restoring confidence in delivery.
Ascent is an embedded project leadership and consultancy
We work alongside your leadership and project teams inside live delivery; bringing clarity, direction and momentum when projects are under pressure.
Create clarity where complexity has taken hold
When priorities blur, and delivery becomes reactive, we cut through the noise. We help teams regain a clear view of scope, responsibilities and next steps; so effort is focused where it matters most.
Strengthen decision-making under pressure
Projects rarely fail due to a lack of information; they fail when decisions are delayed or avoided. We support leaders to make timely, confident decisions when the stakes are high and uncertainty is real.
Stabilise delivery rhythm and direction
Ascent re-establishes structure, cadence and control across delivery. By bringing experienced leadership into the project, we help restore momentum and keep progress moving in the right direction.
Translate intent into action
Good intentions don’t move projects forward; action does. We turn plans, commitments and strategy into practical steps that drive visible progress on the ground.
Step in where it matters most
Sometimes that means stepping into a senior delivery or commercial role. Sometimes it means challenging assumptions that are quietly undermining progress.
Always, it means doing what’s needed to protect delivery and rebuild confidence.
Every Ascent engagement is shaped by what’s happening on the ground. Rather than applying a fixed model, we respond to the real pressures, priorities and risks within your project.
Typically, this includes:
Embedded project or commercial leadership
Senior leadership embedded directly into your project, providing clear direction, accountability and delivery focus where it’s needed most.
Clear prioritisation of what actually matters right now
Cutting through complexity and competing demands to focus effort on the actions that will stabilise progress and protect outcomes.
Complementary Approach
Ascent is designed to complement and enhance existing internal capabilities. Our team works alongside your staff
to boost their productivity and enrich their project management skills.
Strategic Support
Ascent offers commercial expertise and fresh insights to refine project approaches and drive innovation within internal teams.
This is not a fixed programme.
It’s responsive, human and grounded in lived project experience.
Clients engage Ascent to achieve:
Clearer leadership decisions: Greater confidence when making calls under pressure, with less hesitation and second-guessing.

A more stable platform for performance: Delivery grounded in structure, rhythm and realistic expectations.
Practical assurance that projects are moving in the right direction: Confidence built on visibility, progress and informed judgement — not guesswork.
Not perfection.

We calculate the costs for Ascent based on the roles you need to fill with our pricing based on our whole input on the project, not an hourly or daily rate. If we are providing you with a cost engineer, planner, project manager or commercial manager, those roles will all be accounted for in your proposal. We fix your price even though the number of hours each week may change flexibly based on what meetings you need us in, and which people are working with you. As an example, one recent six-month project was priced at £XXX per month.
We are experienced in all types of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. Across the team, we’ve worked in marine and defence, renewable energy, oil and gas, water and utilities, facilities management, manufacturing, structural and mechanical engineering. More importantly, our Ascent Momentum Wheel is a process which can be applied in any industry to bring power and pace into your project, while we also put in the infrastructure your organisation needs for future projects.
We are based near Swansea, and work with clients based in Wales and all over the UK. We can visit sites occasionally to meet your project stakeholders and technical delivery teams. However, once the relationships are established, we can work effectively remotely using MS Teams or any other collaboration tools you use on the project.
We focus our efforts on building great communication and integrating quickly within the team, to plug the resource gaps in your project management office. Our knowledge of technical delivery and commercial management enables us to liaise with all your stakeholders. We work proactively to understand all the roles and commercial terms, to foresee and manage risks as well as identify opportunities for reducing costs or increasing the project value.
