FAQs

We have a project manager, but our project is not going smoothly. How can Coron help us?

We will assess your needs after your first discovery call with us. We support organisations where the project overwhelm is affecting the team and they need our Base Camp Sense Star to get back on track. There are five areas we look at – person, performance, perspective, proactive, and pace, offering our Coron Backpack where needed for specific tools and training. If your project or delivery teams need some coaching and mentoring as part of a project, our pricing structure is designed to differentiate these consulting services.

Consulting sounds expensive. How much does the Base Camp service cost?

Our pricing rates for training, consulting and mentoring are fixed based on the level of input you need. On your discovery call, we will figure out your requirements and how often we will be working with you, starting from £750 per month. Most clients appreciate our input once a month or once a fortnight, with a schedule of who we need to see and when. We will run a temperature check before we start so we can measure how much improvement there is from having us on board.

Your services sound similar. What’s the difference between Ascent bespoke project management and Base Camp support?

Our clients often hire us to provide project management services for a critical period of time then manage the transition back to the internal team, possibly by recruiting a new project manager. Ascent bespoke project management is perfect for organisations who need more than one type of input to bolster their resources – project management and integrated planning, or commercial management and cost engineering. Clients then transition to the lighter touch of Base Camp to ensure the internal teams have the project management skills and mentoring support to keep the project on track.

Most of our issues occur on site. Where is Coron based and will you visit the site?

We are based near Swansea, and work with clients based in Wales and all over the UK. We can visit sites to provide training days and meet your project stakeholders. However, once the relationships are established, we provide effective mentoring remotely using MS Teams or any other collaboration tools you use on the project.
